2003 Missions Trip
2002 Missions Trip - read about last year's trip 2001 Missions Trip - read about the 2001 trip Monday, July 7, 2003 Praise to the Almighty God, It is only Our God that could accomplish what he did in the last two weeks. Not only through those of us who went on the trip, but those of you who supported us with your finances and prayers. Because you gave, we were able to feed people in the village of Bulock, delivering over 40 bags of rice (4,000.00 lbs). Because you prayed, the Kingdom of Heaven opened up in the village and many people passed from death to life. As we stood sharing the Gospel boldly in front of the Mosque, in direct line of fire, the enemy tried to drown out our praise and the message of salvation. But the prayers of the Muslims could not stand against the power of the Truth, with Satan's firey arrows bouncing off our shield of faith. My brothers and sisters, I don't think I have ever seen spiritual warfare with my eyes the way I saw it that day. It was just as Paul described it. I saw a man take the sword the Word of God and penetrate straight to the heart of Muslim men, women and children. It was awesome to see the people hearing the word for the first time and accepting Christ. There was so much rejoicing, the people didn't want to leave the place. While in Gambia we were able to help purchase a second-hand 14-passenger van for the church. Also Brother Bill Holman taught on the Helmet of Salvation Eternal Security. John Tyson taught on the Empowerment of God, and Pastor Steve Miller taught on The Battle Discipleship. The church in Gambia was indeed edified. We went with them from compound to compound sharing the Gospel with people in the community. Many rejected, but many came to Christ. It was glorious to hear from some how they had heard this before but still had questions. It was like Philip and the Ethiopian in Acts. There were many who acknowledged Jesus was the Son of God and He died for their sins, but because of the persecution they faced the loss of their jobs, family support, etc. they could not confess Jesus as Lord. We left words of encouragement with them and pray for them constantly. Islam has a definite stronghold there. But the power of God can break it. Thank you so much for your support in this mission. It was incredible to see the hand of God from this side of the Atlantic. I only wish you could see all that we have seen. I pray this gives you at least a glimpse of what God can do through us when we walk in obedience to Him. Your sister in Christ, Thursday, June 26, 2003 I am just overcome by the Awesomeness of God. Where else can you go and share the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ only in front of a Mosque and leave with people changed forever? It is only in the middle of God's perfect will!!!!!! Peace Monday, June 23, 2003 Brothers and sisters in Christ, Please be in prayer for us today. For the next three four days we will be out in small villages sharing the gospel. We have large quantities of rice to give as well as clothing and goods. Most of all we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ----their only hope. Pray that God touches there hearts and that not one of them should perish. Boldly for Him. Saturday, June 21, 2003 Praise the Lord!!! God is doing some mighty things here in the Gambia. There are many hungry souls and God has given us the opportunity to share His compassion with them. On Monday we will go to a small village and will be able to supply them with rice and clothes. The Mandinka and Jola people will come to a clear understanding of who Jesus is and what he came to do for them. Please continue to pray for the people there. They really are seeking truth. The Lord tells us that when people seek Him, they will find Him if they seek with all their heart. May God bless you all. In Christ Love! Peace, Ronda M.
